Just got a new job as a Shipping Supervisor, I’ve been a lead at my previous job and did a lot of the hands on work. I feel so out of place right now. I want to work and do something but this is a way bigger company than where I came from. They have positions for everything, dedicated people to just scan pallets, people who just wrap, people who bring the pallets to shipping, fork lift driver to load and unload. There is no way of me helping and I feel like just watching people is weird. I feel like going to get in trouble for not doing anything. I did update some lists that were outdated for our customers, I identified a bottle neck and moved lunches around to stop that bottleneck. Granted this is only my 3rd week today but I just feel like I’m not doing enough. Any advice would help drastically, I feel so out of place. (Food distribution company) (shipping supervisor)
