Explanation:

For posts that are a few months old, this Patreon artist "updates" them by changing the post title to "Publication ended. Please purchase blah blah blah" and removing the attachments for download. Please note that the post is still up, its URL still exists, but its content will be changed. The post itself does not get deleted.

Let's say I imported this post to Pawchive when it was still "active", a.k.a when the original photos and attachments were still available to be downloaded.

Then, a few months after that, the artist did the "update" to hide the content.

Let's say a week later, I import this artist to Pawchive again. Will that post be overridden with the new useless updated content?

I assume everyone wants the original content to be kept alive. I just wonder if Pawchive has some sort of retain mechanism for cases like this?

No one's gonna "Oh I gotta import stuff I paid for because this random gooner on a Reddit sub begged for it."

How the importer works:
- You provide a certain string of "code".
- The importer uses that to scrape everything from your active subscriptions.
- The importer does not target a specific creator.

So as soon as someone decides it's not too inconvenient for them to go through the trouble of providing that "code" to Pawchive, stuff will be imported. Not because of some weirdos begging here.

Anyone notices that the order of photos in a post on Pawchive is indexed in a very weird and wrong way?

Here is an example:

Here are names of files I downloaded from a Pawchive post via gallery-dl program. The structure is {autogenerated numbering based on Pawchive indexing}_{actual filename by the Patreon creator}.{extension}

The column of text I highlighted portrays the {autogenerated numbering based on Pawchive indexing} part, which is the order that Pawchive displays these photos.

In other words, the site will display 11 (1).png, then 9 (1).png, then 6 (1).png, and so on. This doesn't follow any sensible order of sorting at all.

The correct order of display should be based on Natural Sorting: 1 (1).png, 1 (2).png, 2 (1).png, 2 (2).png,..., 10 (1).png, 10 (2).png,...

Some programs sort stuff alphabetically, e.g. 1 (1).png, 1 (2).png, 10 (1).png, 10 (2).png, 2 (1).png, 2 (2).png, which sucks. But this sorting on Pawchive is so weird I don't even know what it is.

It's like when you're reading a comic, but instead of reading from one side to another of the book, you just flip random pages around.

I know Kemono's import has been broken and attached files have been gone since April (and Kemono is down today, idk for how long). This question is for Pawchive (I just knew about it today), or maybe Kemono in the future if the site ever returns to its full power.

So here's my case:

1. I bought a subscription to a Patreon creator on June 1st. Hence my paid membership ends on July 1st.
2. I wanna import his paid posts to Pawchive/Kemono.
3. On a day between June 1st and July 1st, I cancelled that membership on Patreon because I got what I want and I don't want to get charged by the "subscription auto renewal" when July 2nd arrives. Apparently I'm still "subscribed" as of today (June 26th), I can still access paid posts until the end of my current billing cycle (July 1st).
4. But when I try to import that Patreon creator to Pawchive with my session_id, the log shows "No paid subscriptions found on this account — nothing to import."

So my assumption is some sort of "paid subscriber" state is lost as soon as I cancel the auto renewal thing. I just wanna ask if this was always the case for Pawchive and the old Kemono? (I didn't import anything back when Kemono was alive so I don't know how that works).

If Pawchive can retain that "paid subscriber" state, it would be great. Else I'd always have to import everything then cancel the paid sub on the absolute last day of the membership, which I always forget to do.
