Hi everyone,

I had a question for anyone who has successfully been offered a project - what has your experience been afterwards in terms of work availability?

Recently, I was invited to 2 projects, and tbh, it's been a disappointing experience. One project required a lot of training and preparation for the assessment - 2 hours of this was paid (but the training took far longer). After qualifying, I haven't had a single task and the project looks fairly dead. It has been particularly frustrating because I really took the time to study and engage with all the material because I was enthusiastic to contribute and deliver the best quality possible.

The other project has been slightly better, but not much. It's pay per task, and since being onboarded there have been about three days with work. Any time tasks do become available, they barely last. Communication isn't great and there have now been no tasks for days - despite project leads continually giving different timelines and days for tasks to reappear (all of which arrive and pass without work).

I do understand this work can be unpredicatable, but if this is the experience, it doesn't necessarily feel like a great investment of time - especially spending hours training, learning and preparing to task, and then having very little work at the end of it.
