So after more than a month of daily chat (bad idea) with a guy (M22), we finally met yesterday (I’m M24). The date went really good from my point of view. There was chemistry, we talked a lot, joked, then kissed and finally ended up in bed. We had sex and then went home. He told me really nice things. Today he told me that he isn’t ready to continue but that he had a really nice time.

I hate it because from all of my first dates this was one of the best ones, but somehow I still didn’t get a second one. Im destroyed as I was expecting nice reply from his side. Yesterday I was even doubting to cancel the date as I wasn’t really interested in him. I feel like if it was a shitty date I wouldn’t be this affected. But man this hurts…

I (M24) was talking to a guy (M22) for a month, and yesterday we met for the first time at his place. The date itself went really well in my opinion — we ended up having sex and spending a while lying in bed together. During the date he said nice things to me (like that he liked my lips, my body… and that the sex was really good) and we even insisted when I was leaving. He asked me what my plans were for the weekend. When we said goodbye, he asked me to give him a hug and a kiss, and told me to write him when I got home. I genuinely didn’t see any negative signs.

But since that date, even though he replies to my messages and is usually quick about it, he feels more reserved than before. Like he’s replying just for the sake of replying, he doesn’t seem as interested as before. My feeling is that for whatever reason I wasn’t what he was looking for and his intention is to let things fizzle out gradually (at least he hasn’t ghosted me). But honestly, I’d prefer he just be upfront with me and tell me he’s not interested in continuing. I don’t know if I’m overthinking everything since the date was only 12 hours ago. I’d ask him if everything is okay but I don’t want to come across as too obsessive.
