I poured my heart into building this app.
I was honestly so tired of drinking culture being the go to way to meet new people, so I created Podium to make it easier to connect through fitness instead.
Within a few clicks, you can literally join someone for a run, create your own activity, or start something like a run club, pickleball group, workout meetup, or really anything active. It has built in messaging, profiles, and local races, so it is also great if you are trying to get more into racing.
We already have 30 users and are growing daily, which has been really cool to see, especially since I have not done any real marketing yet. Just posting on Reddit ;)
I honestly think this could even become a new version of a dating app.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of running, but I recently moved to SF and got tired of always relying on drinking culture to meet people. I wanted to make some new friends in a healthier way, so I started looking for casual running groups.
Strava clubs made it hard to track when/where runs were happening, but a friend told me about the app Podium. I ended up joining a casual run in Golden Gate Park and it worked really well and pushed me to run my first 10k!
