I had my nipple sparing DMX a couple of weeks ago and got my pathology results back.

Good news is that there was no trace of the original stage 2 HR+ HER2+/- tumor, neither in the breast nor in the lymph nodes.

Bad news is that they found multiple foci of new DCIS scattered in the same breast, one of them in the areolar tissue. The surgeon said they’ll most probably have to remove the nipple.

Did anyone else have this occur? What was your treatment?
