
Selective empathy is still selective
Dia Mirza often speaks about protecting the environment compassion and empathy. She’s publicly criticized plastic use and encourages people to be more conscious of their environmental impact.
But if empathy is the principle shouldn’t it be applied consistently?

Activism loses credibility when it appears selective. If you’re asking others to make sacrifices for ethics or the environment people will naturally expect your own choices to reflect those values too.
Compassion shouldn’t depend on what’s convenient or what gets the most applause.
