What model docsis 3.1 modem does Mediacom generally use? I own my own modem right now but trying to debate if I should just go buy a new one (it’s getting old and having some problems) or just go to the office and get a free one that’s included in my package.
Does Mediacom really not supply or use those grey boxes that hide all the wires and splitters coming into your house anymore? I went out back after a tech was at my house a few days ago and realized he removed the box (it did have a crack but otherwise was fine) and now all the wires and splitters are all screwed into my house and all exposed. What would be the reason for this when all that was needed was a new splitter.
