Frustrated with Etsy purchase protection
Rant ahead: I had an order make it all the way from Utah to Portugal and then it didn’t get delivered. I tracked it and it made it all the way to the house and was marked as “undeliverable”. The buyers order was covered under purchase protection but they wouldn’t file a claim with Etsy. They wanted me to do it for them but as we all know, sellers can’t do that for buyers 🤦♀️ Why?!? Now the buyer has given me a bad 1 star review because they are “tired of messaging about it and never received it”. I did everything I could on my end and Etsy won’t take down the review nor will they refund them until they file a claim. This is the third time this has happened, all international orders so now I have taken off international shipping. Anyone else have this problem? Has Etsy helped any of you?
