StashSync.app – save notes, bookmarks & files from any tab, synced across devices

Built a Chrome extension for StashSync — an offline-first workspace for notes, bookmarks, and files.

What it does:

  • Save bookmarks instantly with auto-fetched title, description & preview image
  • Create rich-text notes without leaving the tab
  • Organize into Stashes and tags
  • ⌘K command palette to jump to anything
  • Syncs in real-time across all your devices (even works offline)

Feedback welcome!

20 clicks from Google Search in 28 days - small win but feels good!

Just got my first Google Search Impact notification for StashSync.app (my offline-first notes/bookmarks/files app).

20 clicks from Google Search in the past 28 days.

Not huge numbers, but considering I:

  • Haven't done any SEO optimization
  • Just launched last week
  • Zero paid marketing
  • Barely any backlinks

...it feels like a small validation that people are actually searching for solutions like this.

What I did (basically nothing strategic):

  • Created a simple landing page
  • Submitted sitemap to Google Search Console
  • Wrote a few blog posts about offline-first apps
  • That's it

Next steps:

  • Actually learn SEO (been putting this off)
  • Write more content around the problem space
  • Get listed on more directories
  • Maybe start a small SEO campaign

Anyone else tracking their Google Search impact?
What's been working for you in the early days?

Launched my project on Product Hunt today and… it failed 😅

Only got a few upvotes and barely any traction.

Honestly, I thought I was more prepared.
Spent weeks building, polishing the landing page, fixing bugs, and preparing the launch.

But after launching, I realized:

  • building is hard
  • marketing is harder
  • getting attention is the hardest part

The project is stashsync.app. Tool to save and organize bookmarks, notes, and file.

Even though the launch result was bad, I still learned a lot:

  • people don’t automatically care about your product
  • distribution matters a lot
  • consistency is probably more important than one launch day

Not giving up yet.
Going back to building and improving.

Would love to hear your Product Hunt failure stories too.

Hey everyone!

I just launched StashSync on Product Hunt. It's an offline-first app for notes, bookmarks, and files with real-time sync across devices.

Been working on this solo for the past few months. It solves a problem I had - my stuff scattered across Notion, Chrome bookmarks, and Google Drive. Wanted everything in one place that works offline.

What it does:

  • Notes with rich text editor
  • Bookmark manager
  • File storage
  • Syncs in real-time across devices
  • Works fully offline

Would really appreciate any support - upvote, feedback, or just checking it out means a lot.

Solo dev here building StashSync.app (offline-first notes/bookmarks/files).

Mistake I made:
Built features I thought were cool. Nobody used them.

What changed:
Started actually listening. User said "I lose notes when WiFi drops" → made offline-first the core feature. Another said "tired of 5 different apps" → combined everything in one.

Now I:

  • Respond to every message
  • Public roadmap
  • 3+ requests = prioritized

Result???

Users feel invested. Retention up. Scary but exciting. User feedback got me here, trusting it to take me further.

Happy building!

i can't believe this just happened, my first sale. shaking a bit right now. time to double down, keep shipping, and see what comes next.

Context:

stashsync.app is an offline-first app that keeps your notes, bookmarks, and files synced across all your devices, without relying on cloud servers. work anywhere, anytime, without losing your information. It's simple, private, and just works.
