Learning on a V6, would a more powerful wheel be safer?
Outgrowing the V6 pretty quick and the plan was always to get a bigger wheel eventually, like the Aeon. I was in no hurry to get a bigger wheel just be cautious, but now I'm starting to think that a heavier wheel with more torque would actually be safer. Even going from grass to a sidewalk I need to make sure it's fairy level because even 2 inches high seems difficult to get over and I'm left feeling like it needs more torque. But maybe it's all skill issues.
I bought this awhile back not realizing it wasn't for audio. I've never used it. If someone will cover shipping they can have it.
Loving the new aircon switches on my T2 😍
Helmet for learning on a V6
I was considering a MTB full face helmet but everyone seems to think if I even trip and fall wearing something like a Bell Super DH my face will explode. But I won't be going any faster than riding a bike. I live in Florida so it's hot as balls, but being light and able to hear is more important to me. I'll just be riding around my neighborhood. If I end up upgrading my wheel I might go with a Nosfet Aero, but I don't even know if I can ride one of these things so I don't mind upgrading gear later. I'm still getting leatt knee guards and flexmeter wrist guards but picking a helmet has been tough. I don't have much experience wearing helmets.
Considering Super DH or a Sanction 2 DLX or a Demon Podium X
Looking at a Bell MX-10 Mips or Fox V1 or V Core if I go ece rated
Just ordered my first wheel when I remembered I own a balance board. Using one of these has got to help right?
Going to be without a car for 6 months or more and looking for recs on a first wheel.
I'm 46, 5'10" and 160lbs. My commute to work would only be 2 miles and its narrow side walks the whole way with a few small interactions to cross. I can make arrangements for bad weather, so that's not a factor. I was originally looking at ebikes but became slightly obsessed with these crazy things. I have until January to practice around my neighborhood which is pretty big with little traffic.
I'm comfortable with around $1,000 so currently thinking the V9 or the Falcon. The Falcon seems better all around, and more fun, but the V9 seems more stable for a beginner and generally chill.
I am not a dare devil and not trying to get hurt here. So I have no plans to hop down stairs or go 45+ mph in traffic. Everyone talks about out-growing their wheels but I think I'm fine with selling and upgrading and honestly would be thrilled if I felt confident enough to get a bigger bike. If I could find a used one for less than $500 I go that route just to see if I can even ride these things. But the only option used I see is a V14 for $2k, and that just seems like way too much wheel for me to start on.
I see the v12 pro and v11y is on sale right now for $1,500 but I dunno, that still seems like I'm getting ahead of myself.
So right now thinking the V9 or the Falcon. Also I can't decide if knobby tire or street is better. I've heard different options there.
Also there is a shop here selling Inmotion so for the local support there's an edge to Inmotion. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get out there yet.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Those of you in 15 to 20 year old vans; they look rad, but all I can think about is difficult and expensive repairs on top of breaking down in the middle of nowhere. What's y'alls experience?
reddit.comI'm considering selling it all. Talk me into or out of it
Took a biiiig break and have struggled to get back into it. I could use the money, but I also know once it's gone, I will never get it back.
EDIT: Thanks ya'll, I genuinely appreciate this community!
Other than price, what info do you hope is revealed on the 24th?
More details about the warranty and service is a big one for me. I need them to convince me this won't be a major problem.

Also hoping for more details (or confirmation) about what specific tires will be used.

And maybe this has been answered, but are the seats adjustable at all?
