Looking to get some real input from people here.
For those working non-standard hours (early mornings, late shifts, travel-based jobs):
How much of a challenge is childcare when it comes to taking or keeping work?
Have you ever:
• turned down work because of childcare timing?
• struggled to find care outside normal hours?
• had to rely on family or patchwork solutions just to make it work?
For caregivers/providers:
Do you see demand for extended or non-standard hours?
Is it something that’s difficult to offer—and if so, why?
If you had to rate it overall:
How significant of a barrier is childcare when it comes to working non-standard hours?
1 — Not a barrier
2 — Minor issue
3 — Significant issue
4 — Major barrier
Just trying to understand how common this issue is and where the biggest gaps are.
Not tied to anything official—just looking for real experiences and perspectives.
