The most annoying thing about Ryanair, is that every time I travel with them from the UK to an EU country, they ask me to "verify my visa" before i can get a boarding pass. The thing is they ask me to do this when I go to countries where my passport does not require any sort of visa (physical or digital) to travel there. For example I'm going to Lithuania tomorrow, and the app does not allow me to get a digital boarding pass (though I'm checked in). Whenever I go to the counter they're all equally confused when I ask them what inexistent visa they are checking. They end up just printing my boarding pass at the counter in 10 seconds. While they do not charge for this process, it forces me to go to the airport substantially earlier than I would if I could get the digital boarding pass after checking in.
Also, I cannot verify my passport via the app because it never works. And i mean it never ever works, and I fly with them on a monthly basis. I try to scan the chip, but it always says "failed to read it". So that option is not on the table even though on the app it says I can do it that way.
Anyone else know why this is? I get this issue only with Ryanair, no other airline. Every time i travel with Wizz or British Airways, this never comes up.
