Hi! Would anyone be able to tell me if this particular filigree design and technique

Hi! I've found this necklace at a flea market in France and I’m trying to identify it.

The style looks very Art Nouveau to me, but there are no hallmarks anywhere. The clasp isn't the original one (the necklace was broken when I bought it), so even if there were any, they've been definitely lost to time.

The decorative sections are made from very fine filigree wire with textured/fluted detailing. The gold surface is worn in places and there seems to be silver-colored metal underneath, so possibly gilded silver/vermeil? Idk

A few things I’m wondering:

- Does this look genuinely early 20th century or more like a later Art Nouveau revival piece? (Probably 50s-80s)

- Does the filigree style suggest a particular region/country? (Portuguese, Scandinavian, Austro-Hungarian/Balkan, etc.?)

- Does it look like part of the necklace is missing? The composition feels slightly asymmetrical to me, despite everything being perfectly symmetrical.

- Any thoughts on the likely metal/content?

I’ve attached:

- overall photo

- close-ups of the filigree

- close-up showing the silver-colored metal beneath the gilding

Would love to hear any opinions or theories!
