AR ➡️ Staff/Revevue Accountant or Tax??
Has anyone here graduated with their Bachelors in accounting and went from AR clerk roles to Staff Accountant or Tax roles? Any suggestions for positioning, advice, or your career story?
I’ve been with my current company for 3.5 years, right out of college with my business management degree. I came on as a temp in an AR Customer Service role, and was in that role for the first two years.
Now for the last year and a half I have been in an entry level credit analyst/associate role, which was a pay bump, but looking where to go from here.
I currently only have AIS, Audit, Change Management, and Business Sim and I will be graduated with my accounting degree!!
Unfortunately my current company (industry)has their staff accountants on a hybrid schedule, and I’m blessed to to be fully remote and not willing to give that up if I can find another role somewhere else (80 mile commute).
Long term, I’d eventually like to get into tax and work something more seasonal on my own, but just to get my foot in the door and get my 1 year experience for CPA I’m open to considering any accounting role that could be remote.
Thanks in advance!!
