Y3V4 Ibuki monologue

Just done reading the first spoilers for Y3V4 👀

Firstly, it’s still way too early to confidently decide who’s getting expelled. COTE always builds up “obvious” targets only to flip it later, so people are probably locking in conclusions too fast.

We already know Ibuki absolutely cannot stand Ayano 😭 so I really wouldn’t be surprised if something happened before or during her monologue where Kiyo deliberately provoked her. I can easily see him bluntly telling her “you’re the one I decided to expel” specifically to force out her real emotions and see how she reacts.

And honestly, her monologue feels way too emotional and personal to just be a straightforward expulsion setup.

Ibuki basically admits she always viewed herself as expendable compared to Ryūen, Shiina, and Katsuragi. She talks like someone who accepted a long time ago that she might eventually be discarded by the system anyway.

That’s exactly why Kiyo’s words probably hit her harder than anything else.

Because for Ibuki, pride matters more than almost everything.

That final punch scene didn’t even feel like pure hatred to me. It felt like frustration, humiliation, anger, stubbornness, desperation, and wounded pride all mixed together at once.

Another thing people are overlooking is the actual group composition. Ike and Shinohara are there too, and both of them have low OAA

Honestly, I could completely see this being intentional misdirection from Ayano.

He could be making Ibuki look like the “obvious sacrifice” so Ike and Shinohara unconsciously relax and lower their guard… only for him to completely flip the situation later and expel one of them instead.

That honestly sounds way more like Kiyo’s style.

And realistically speaking, Ibuki is still far more useful than Ike or Shinohara in terms of adaptability, usefulness in special exams, physical ability, and overall contribution.

Also, do y’all know who’s actually more likely to get expelled? The Class A students.

This exam is built around group dynamics, not pure class loyalty. Your loyalty is supposed to be toward your group first, not your class. And considering Ayanokōji’s history with Class A, I honestly feel like he could intentionally create chaos and force everyone into difficult situations psychologically.

If things start going wrong, the first people others will naturally suspect are the Class A students because of their history with Ayanokōji. Everyone already knows he betrayed them before, so it would be easy for people to assume they might try to retaliate by sabotaging their own group or creating problems from inside.

That’s why I feel like Kiyo openly talking about expelling Ibuki could be part of a much larger psychological setup.

The more everyone thinks they already understand what he’s planning, the easier it becomes for him to move in the background while everyone is focused on the wrong target.

Maybe I’m overthinking it and Kinu is actually being straightforward for once 😭 but I still can’t shake the feeling that something about this setup feels way too obvious.
