[TOMT] [television show/movie] [late 90s - early 2000s] Looking for a horror scene/sketch of a monster under the bed eating some kid's dad that scared me as a kid lol
Firstly, I hope that I did the title stuff correctly. I don't really use reddit, like, at all.
I'm trying to find horror scenes I remember from when I was really little and can't find this one. I think it's from snl or something like that but I'm not sure. I was really little for all of these so it would have been around the year 1998 - 2005 at the latest but I'm pretty sure it would have been 2003 at the latest, I could be wrong about that though.
First (the one I'm trying to figure out):
Movie/film/scene unknown (not located) - I'll describe the scene first:
A kid is laying in bed shouting for his parent's/dad and the dad comes in, he's annoyed and the kid tells him there's a monster under his bed. The dad gets down to check complaining about "There's no monsters under your bed." but when he lifts the sheet/blanket to look there's a 'monster' under there who I remember being just some punk looking dude but green (although my memory of the monster itself isn't the most clear). The monster is just laying there and says "Hey." or something, then grabs the dad and drags him under. The camera then shows the kid lying in bed half covering his face with the blankets. I'm 90% sure that's when a laugh track/live audience started up.
So I think this was on a sketch comedy show of some sort like maybe The Amanda show or All That, but idk. I would channel hop a ton back then + watch whatever my parents had on.
I've had people recommend a movie called The Gate (1987) but that doesn't seem to be it.
So far I've found:
Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature (2001) - I vividly remember the mermaid design and her coughing up a ring after eating someone.
House on Haunted Hill (1959) - I remember a black and white movie and I always remembered it as a naked woman laying down on a slab, stabbing herself in the chest with a sword as she was lying down. But it was me misremembering the very mundane scene of one of the women lying down because Vincent Price spooked her.
The Anamatrix (2003) - I remember staying up late and seeing this creepy anime of a woman waking up in a pool of (what looked like) blood and looking around in terror at these weird pot structures. It was the waking up scene from the anamatrix, and I wasn't too far off. I just had no context for what the matrix was.
There's a Nightmare in My Closet (1987) - I remember pretty much everything. Although I was little so the monster was way creepier.
There's Something in My Attic (1990) - I remember the monster being way scarier. But as an adult I just see a guy in a suit that I'd 100% beat up if he was in my house.
