I'm starting law school this fall with the goal of becoming a public defender. Growing up, I had severe social anxiety, but college and work have significantly helped me improve my social skills. I’m fine in one-on-one or small group conversations now, but public speaking still terrifies me.
I’ve done some searching on here and it looks like, aside from the obvious of just taking public speaking courses, improv classes are recommended most often and things like joining a Toastmasters club. Just curious if anyone has any other recommendations. I'm aware it'll take time and practice once I'm actually doing it, but just trying to be as proactive as I can be now. Located in Denver. TYIA!!
