Toby Roo had cryptorchidism

He has finally been neutered and looking as handsome as ever as a bread head ❤️ 🍞

Second picture is from the vet. Toby Roo does not enjoy his visits to the vet. 😆

Crispy Fur

My 14 week boy is growing in his fur and mostly its soft except on his spine it’s a little crispy! Is it normal for kittens to have more coarse fur in places before growing in their full coat? Not concerned just curious!

Somersault ?

Hi ! My devon rex does about 5 somersaults a day, sometimes more, always in front of doors. Do you think it’s normal ? He is six and does a little chant when he does them. Thank you ! Forgive the sims music we are having a very calm Sunday evening….

What colour do you think Kolwy is?

Hello!

Just stumbled across this sub so I’m happy to creep all the old posts.

We bred our Devon Rex (Maevis) and kept one of the babies. Her name is Kolwyntjie (it means cupcake in Afrikaans, we call her Kolwy for short) and we have no idea what colour pattern she is. My wife and I were thinking cow pattern, but the vet and us are unsure. Maybe someone can shed some light on the subject.

Here’s a few photos of Maevis & Kolwy!

Flea & tick repellent

Hello! What is everyone using for flea and tick control? I got a Devon and I’m afraid to put anything on her because when I had a regular cat, I used name brand topical repellent and she had a horrible reaction on her neck twice where the drops were applied. she lost all the hair and the area scabbed over, it almost looked like ringworm but after it healed I tried again and got the same reaction only in the treated area. I’m scared to use anything on my new kitten because I know the Devon skin is more exposed and more sensitive. I have a dog that i do treat with no issues besides some mild itching, and i have a balcony which she tries to run out to anytime i open the door (squirrels do come onto the balcony)

I am so lucky

We have recently reserved our sweet, handsome little boy! He is now 8 weeks old and I am lucky enough to know the breeder, allowing me to catsit when she leaves for shows! So this weekend I am bonding extra much with our little boy.
In a couple of weeks I will also be allowed to borrow him out for small adventures with the car, and exploring new places. In my experience the weeks 10-14 makes a massive difference in how much you expose them to! So having the chance to do that personally is amazing. ❤️✨

Buzz exists only to be pet

This man likes 4 things.

  1. Being touched
  2. Getting as close to you as physically possible
  3. Eating
  4. Pooping

Weirdly enough, hates being picked up/held

Any breeders in the MA area?

My mother and older sister are desperate for a pair of Devon Rexes after meeting mine. Are there any breeders in the MA area? I’m willing to go out of state for the right ones! Cat Tax above. These guys are so rare!
