Hey seniors! 👋 Am getting Mechatronics branch at JEC Jabalpur in the counselling.
Wanted to ask — is Mechatronics allowed to sit for IT/CSE company placements (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.) on campus? Or are those drives restricted to CSE/IT/ECE only?
My plan is to prep for GATE CSE alongside college and also pick up coding/dev skills on the side. Just want to know if Mechatronics will be a roadblock for that or if it's manageable.
Also, I currently have CSE/IT seats available at Indore colleges too (IIST Indore / Acropolis Indore), so I'm genuinely torn between JEC Mechatronics vs CSE/IT at one of these. Any guidance from your batch's experience would help a lot before I finalize. Thanks in advance!
Acropolis indore cse and tech related branch , iist indore and tech related branch , SAIT indore cse and cse ai ml (getting TFW at SAIT indore) what should be my preference !!

I’m confused whether I should take a tech branch in Madhav Institute of Technology and Science this year or prepare for JEE again as a double dropper while being in college.
