Hello everyone I have a biopsy this week and I’m terrified. My pap came back as HSIL. I know most biopsies come back normal so I’m less worried about that but I’m terrified for the procedure. I have had 2 IUDs and each time I passed out from the pain. I know some people are fine but everytime it is horrible. I have endometriosis and I always live with pain but even getting a pap sends me into a flare up. I’m terrified because they said to just take ibuprofen. I know they can at least do local or something and I’m just looking for advice and support on how to go about making sure they give me pain control. I want to stand firm and not buckle but I also cannot leave if they say no because I have a very busy schedule. Im open to any advice and ideas but please don’t tell my that I need to suck it up. I will if I need to but it’s ridiculous we have to beg for pain control when men wouldn’t even have to ask. I’m pretty sure now it’s been proven anyway that women do feel pain in their cervix.
