Hello!! I was inspired by the story of Mama and Papi (thank you to the OP and thank you to the folks who picked them up and to everyone who donated!!).

I noticed in the comments of the original post that a lot of people don’t see small dogs in their shelters (I really don’t either, my chi was going to be dumped by a client of my friend’s and I ran to get her) but it seemed like some states had a lot of chis in their shelters.

What rescues are facilitating saving these pups from the kill shelters? Is there a way to facilitate more out of state fosters or adoptions for chihuahuas?

I know that’s a big undertaking so I’m trying to see what’s out there/gain some understanding as to how these types of things work.
