My gf and I are planning a trip in October to Italy and then plan to take the Bari ferry to Dubrovnik. I’ve seen mixed reviews on this. Does anyone have pointers for success or input on potential pitfalls? It looks like those ferries run either during the day or sometimes overnight 2 days a week.

We will spend most of our time in Italy on the west coast and then head to Bari to catch a ferry to do another leg of the trip moving up the coast. Thank you in advance.

I know this has been posted in years past, but I also know season to season it can change somewhat substantially. We just want to make sure we know what we are getting ourselves into from folks who have actually done this.
