Whitehead near piercing
Hey y’all! So last week I went to get my old piercings reopened and she put tapers through all my holes (I have 3 lobe piercings on each side) to test which ones are closed and which ones are still opened. All 3 on my left side were still technically opened but when she put the taper through my third hole, I heard a pop. About picking out jewelry, I told her I wanted hoops and she said if they are still open then she can put hoops through so she did put the hoop through the third hole. Now a week later my third piercing with the hoop is very irritated. It feels SORE SORE to the touch and the back is red and swollen with a forming whitehead beside it. I’ve been using the saline solution she gave me since my right side had to actually be re-pierced and those are doing better than the hole on my left side!! They are completely painless and healing great. I did notice today that it’s less painful and less swollen than it was yesterday so i’m gonna continue the saline solution and irrigating with warm water in the shower but I just wanted to know if this was normal? I also live 2,000 miles away from the piercer and just got them done while i was visiting my hometown so I can’t just go back to their shop and ask 😭
