Getting mixed signals from my crush
So in my politics seminar group there’s this girl I’ve developed a crush on. There’s around 8 of us in the group and over the year we’ve all become fairly friendly, going to the pub together, being invited to house parties and that sort of thing.
Over time I’ve started feeling like she might like me too, but I honestly can’t tell if I’m just reading into things because I like her.
She compliments me quite a lot, remembers small details I mentioned months ago, and seems genuinely interested in what I’m doing. The thing that made me really start wondering was that she randomly texted me outside of course stuff. It started about work and the seminar, which is normal enough, but then she started asking questions about my football and wanted to know more about it.
When I asked later why she was so interested, she laughed and seemed a bit embarrassed before saying she was “just interested.”
The thing making me doubt it though is that she hasn’t really texted me again since or shown any obvious signs since then, which makes me think maybe she was just being friendly and I’m overthinking it.
I also thought she had a boyfriend, although she hasn’t mentioned him in months so now I’m not even sure if she still does.
Honestly I can’t tell if these are signs she likes me or if she’s just a nice person. Any advice on what to do next?
