Posting this to possibly help anyone else chasing the same front end mystery squeak …

We have a 2022 MDX Tech SH-AWD with 65k miles on it. Recently it would make an embarrassingly loud suspension squeaking sound from the front driver side when you hit dips and bumps in the road. Had been in and out of the dealership twice. First time they had it for about a week and struggled to find the sound, ended up loosening and torquing down the strut tower mount. It got quieter, never went away and eventually came back full force. Took it back to the dealership this week and they finally found the problem…bad ball joint on lower control arm. Cost us $700+ to have it fixed because it’s out of warranty. Needless to say I’m super disappointed with the quality of ball joints Acura is using if they are gonna fail at such a low mileage, and of course you can’t just change the ball joint because they make them all one piece in the lower control arm. We live in Southern California and the roads aren’t terrible but they aren’t that great either. The day we picked up our car the service department said another MDX came in with the same problem…so sounds like this could become a common issue.
