I’ve played the violin since I was 4, went to conservatory for it, and quit when I was 22.

I just tried playing today after a 6 year hiatus, and I’m playing everything exactly one half step lower. And I don’t catch it until I compare with an open string. I’m appalled and bewildered. I have relative pitch so is it a muscle memory thing? Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to recover? (I’ve been practicing scales with a drone but still my brain+fingers keep wanting to play a half step lower.)

Any help appreciated. Pls don’t drag me and say I’m just playing flat haha.
