I have diagnosed CIRS (multi-susceptible genes as well) and Hashimoto’s. I also am hypoglycemic, so I don’t do well without eating first thing in the morning. What is the appropriate timing with bile sequestering binders and thyroid med (natural desiccated thyroid)?
I know the thyroid med is taken on empty stomach first thing in the morning away from food. (I wait 4 hours to take certain minerals). But I’m not sure how to time this with binders, and also doing some PC and lipid replacement. Since Mycobind is food-based does it need to be taken away from meds like the prescription binders? I have read commenters say it has the same polarity, and others that it does not.
Honestly, I had this figured out last year (I think) for more than 6 months, but I had appendicitis/surgery and stopped everything. Now brain fog is so bad, I can’t remember or get my brain to work well enough to research it.
Until we finish remediating our home from water damage/mold, I have only taken Mycobind (not prescription binders). I also did a Quicksilver push-catch system pack. In past I was using that approach of stimulating bile with bitters like Dandelion prior to taking the binder. But again I can’t remember timing. I just know I was miserable with hypoglycemia in the mornings. I know I need to be out of the water-damaged environment and on CSM or Welchol, but it’s a process, and I plan to get on one of those when I’m sure we have dealt with mold or other environmental pathogens.
