Wild camping & hiking conditions around Grindelwald / Interlaken?
Hey everyone,
A friend and I are planning to do a hiking trip around Grindelwald / Interlaken pretty soon and we’d like to do some wild camping or bivouacking along the route.
I wanted to ask how strict the rules currently are in that area and what’s generally tolerated. We obviously want to stay respectful, leave no trace, avoid nature reserves/private land, etc., but I’ve read a lot of mixed information online about what’s actually allowed.
Also, how are the current trail and snow conditions at the moment? We’re planning to stay mostly around the tree line or slightly above if conditions allow, but we want to avoid dangerous snow sections or closed passes.
Any recommendations for routes, areas to avoid, legal camping spots, or general tips would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
