Honor/Google's "solution" for the March 1st update failure was to withdraw the update for Honor devices, and nothing more was heard about it.

Remember that since Project Mainline, some security updates come directly from Google via the "Google Play System Update," so all Honor devices remain vulnerable to the 11 vulnerabilities that were patched in the failed update.

A little while ago, I updated my second device, an Asus Zenfone 10, to the April 1st Google Play system update without any problems. The Play Store also updated, and it's on a newer version than the one on my Magic6 RSR.
