Lost baggage stranded at DBV airport
I flew Detroit-Amsterdam-Dubrovnik a couple days ago— my first flight was operated by Delta and the second was operated by KLM. My bag got to Amsterdam no problem, but once I arrived from my connecting flight in Dubrovnik, my suitcase was nowhere to be found. I have an AirTag inside of it, but it hadn’t updated since before I left the Amsterdam airport so it wasn’t any help. I went to the Dubrovnik airport lost and found desk and they also weren’t any help, so I then called KLM’s Croatia-based customer service line and they told me they had no idea where my baggage was.
After a couple hours, I called back and they told me my luggage was left in Amsterdam. I told them I would be staying in Split (about 3 hours from Dubrovnik) and they said they would have it delivered to my accommodation once it reached Dubrovnik. My baggage reached Dubrovnik over 24 hours ago, and I was told I would be contacted with delivery information soon after— spoiler, I was never contacted and my AirTag shows that my bag has been sitting at the Dubrovnik airport for over 24 hours. When I called KLM customer service earlier, they told me there was nothing they could do to expedite this process even though I was assured my baggage would be delivered “ASAP”.
Just feeling defeated and frustrated because there’s literally nothing I can do— I can’t get back to Dubrovnik without taking at least 6-7 hours out of my trip and wan Uber that would cost me hundreds of dollars, or believe me, I would be picking it up myself. KLM has been absolutely useless and the Dubrovnik airport customer service and lost and found lines aren’t even returning my voicemails. I’ve already done a lot of shopping because they aren’t even able to give me a timeframe of when my bag will be given back to me.
