I’m looking for a bit of reassurance or advice about my daughter’s teeth. She’s 3 years and 4 months old.
She has no visible cavities and her teeth look healthy overall. Her speech is actually quite advanced for her age, so there are no concerns there. However, I’ve noticed she seems to have a high/narrow palate, She also still sucks her thumb (mainly for comfort), which I know can affect dental development. I sucked my thumb until I was about 7 and didn’t have any issues, so I’m unsure how concerned I should be that she’s already showing some changes.
I am mainly concerned that having a high palate would require orthodontic intervention soon .. for reference I wish I could take her for a dentist’s appointment but she cannot go on the nhs ( we tried until blue in the face ) and money is a bit tight at the moment but I will find a way .
I know the pic is horrible but she is asleep now and will try again tomorrow
Thanks everyone 😊
