Ryet/Senicx GR5 cranks
I want to switch to 165mm cranks on my gravel bike. I did it on the road bike, and I really like it. They resolved some issues I had.
I thought that I might shed some weight with cranks other than GRX.
As for now, only 62X series GRX cranks are available in 165mm size.. And they are +800g.
Unfortunately, all lighter than GRX cranks (Chinese carbon ones, Rotor, Magene) I found, I guess, limit me. They have around 47mm chain line instead of nearly 50 as 1x GRX has. Why is it a problem? I currently have 610 cranks, with 48T chainring (with 11-51T cassette). I want to have both the granny gear for my Z2 rides (so I need 51 in the rear) and the ability to push 300W during my Z3/SS efforts on the downhills (so I need 48 in the front). Today, with GRX 1x cranks, the 48T chainring sits maybe 2-3 mm away from the frame (Cube Nuroad C62 from 2023). Anything closer will be a no-go.
Are there any other cranks I should consider, or is the best option to wait until FC-RX820-1 in 165mm size appears somewhere else than just in the catalogue?
I thought briefly about GR5 cranks from Ali (Ryet/Senicx cooperation). But they are just 30g lighter than GRX, and there is no information about them anywhere online that I looked for.
