Unpopular opinion?? Mikayla using her skin condition as an allegory to Taylor’s situation was not malicious.

I’ve been seeing in the comments online that the Taylor fans are out here accusing Mikayla of reducing Taylor’s situation by comparing it to her skin condition. I think one thing that’s very important to remember is that life is all about everyone’s personal paradigm and Mikayla used an allegory based off what she has experienced in her own life battling her chronic illness. I imagine her illness has consumed a lot of her time and energy and caused a lot of pain for her and maybe in the grand scheme of things, they aren’t comparable. However, she was saying how she alone felt and used an example that made sense to her personal life experience. On the contrary by others attacking her and being like “ew she compared Taylor’s large horrible situation to just her little skin condition” you’re reducing her pain significantly because a chronic illness is very much all consuming to the person experiencing it. Again using an allegory based off lived experience can sometimes be a mistake but in this case I don’t feel like it wasn’t meant maliciously.

Finally done. Summa Cum Laude, Ceremonial and Latin! And not to toot my own horn but I worked full time the entire time, planned a wedding, got married, moved across the country, and finished the last 4 months of my degree while being pregnant. First trimester almost took me out but we persevered. I am really proud of myself!
