Picky pingu
Back again with pingy boy, who is now just under a year old and healthy (has recently seen an avian vet) but still not eating properly. We aren’t sure if he can’t manage anything bigger than lentils or is just over cautious or fussy but he won’t eat most high protein options I have given him and doesn’t seem to like greens either. I have been keeping his protein up by giving him lots of hemp seed which he likes, but he’s mostly only eating seeds, barley, wheat, some lentils and millet as a treat. I have tried leaving him with only the bigger bits to see if he’d try them once hungry but I gave in and fed him the small food after watching him just throw bits around for half an hour. As for greens, I’ve let him pick at various veggies and again he just throws bits around without eating. I give him as much variety as possible of things he will eat and supplement vitamins but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or has any advice, as I want to make sure he’s on as good a diet as possible!
