Hey everyone! I’ve got a 2009 Smart 451 1000 turbo with 110k km (~68,000 miles). For a while now I’ve had this weird issue where the gear gets stuck in neutral or just refuses to shift, but there are no error codes showing up on an OBD scanner or on the car’s dashboard.
The funny thing is, if I turn the car off for a couple of minutes and restart it, everything goes back to normal. Used to happen maybe once a year, but now it happened twice in a single day, so I’m thinking something is about to give out and I’d love to figure out which part is the culprit before replacing it.
Worth mentioning: I don’t have the three vertical dashes on the dashboard display that I keep seeing in YouTube videos about this same issue, so maybe my situation is a bit different?
