barclays bank switch account closed
i recently switched my main bank account to barclays for their £200 switch offer. i made sure to complete the requirements and switch with 2 direct debits and deposit £2000 into the account. everything was fine and the switch completed about 2 weeks ago.
then a few days ago a freind of mine sent me £200 and barclays froze the money and asked me for proof of funds. after i submitted the proof they released the money but ended up closing my account. is there a way for me to still get the switch bonus. i completed the switch with 5 direct debits and deposited more than £3000 into my account so i met all the requirements and i find it unfair that they can just close my account after i did everything properly and not pay me the switch bonus. has anyone had a similar experience or knows if there is anything i can do?
