Currently having issues resolving 100% disk usage. Is System Volume Information the culprit?
Hello all!
Over the past year, my girlfriend's PC has had random spikes with disk usage reaching 100%. Usually, it'd last for only a few minutes, and if not, we were able to solve it with the common solutions (High Performance Power setting, disabling services like Sysmain, etc.)
However, as of recent, it's now just sitting at 100% usage and not dropping at all. With most of the common solutions already crossed off, we're a bit stumped.
So far, my working theory is her SSD is going bad and needs to be replaced and/or there's some sort of looping going on with the back up points that System Volume Information is continuously writing, causing the disk to go nuts.
Any suggestions on fixing this? Please and thank you's <3
