Finnish Monarchy Tree under King Matti Suuri
>As long as there is God in Heaven and Matti Klemetitlä on Earth, the Finnish people have nothing to fear!
- Matti Klemettilä, 1937
With the threat of both a syndicalist revolution and nationalist rebellion by the Lapua Movement swept away and the German monarch removed from power, Civil Guard leader Carl Gustaf Mannerheim chooses to retain the military in command of the Finnish nation a little longer. Returning to his monarchist ideals, Mannerheim seeks to return Finland to a kingdom status, but the regency council screeches to a halt in choosing a new monarch. This opens up the stage for the eccentric monarchist Matti Klemettilä, who manages to convince the council much to surprise of everyone, becoming king Matti I Suuri of Finland. A pacifist and an ardent patriot, Matti seeks to unite the nation, heal the wounds of the long two decades since the civil war and finally, lead Finns to a destiny far greater than they could have ever dreamed to desire.
