Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 61,711 units of the 2019 to 2023 Jeep® Cherokee (KL) due to a potential issue involving the power transfer unit (PTU). A failed PTU may result in a loss of drive power or cause the vehicle to roll away while in PARK, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. According to official documentation, Stellantis estimates that approximately 0.5% of the recalled population may contain the defect.
