Why does Walgreens seem to deliberately want people to seek employment elsewhere?

There is very little room for growth or long term stability with the company. Now, I realize that after the buyout by Sycamore, everything is up in the air these days, but in the meantime.....

Why are there pay caps for positions (especially in leadership)? Then why do you also force ESMs, who were once considered Assistant Managers, to have to have the desire to be a store manager, or be demoted? Why do you force front end leadership to have an ever expanding role in pharmacy, or not have a chance in moving up at all?

You are creating a bottleneck. Don't even get me started on Why you insist on your store managers to lord over your pharmacy managers. They should be working together as equal parts to two very different aspects of store operations. Don't put pay caps on shift leads. They are the backbone of Walgreens. If you have a competent, and valuable shift lead, who cares if they want to stay in that role for 10 to 15 years. They should be able to get a raise every year.

If people are productive in thier positions, there should be no pay caps for anyone.

People don't want to work at a dead-end job. Unless you are a store manager or a pharmacist, it is a dead-end job.
