HR help

Today I had an incident with another employee, I was taking the trash out and was talking to my boyfriend about how bad my week had been (sfl fired, new store manager) just a lot of short staffed etc. this employee in question has her family that lives across the street. They were walking up at the same time as I was talking to my boyfriend. I guess her family told her I was talking about her , which I absolutely was not, she’s pharmacy and I’m front end , she was not even on my mind.
After pulling pharmacy she had asked me what I said about her outside, I didn’t respond to her because it was overwhelming aggressive energy. She asked me if I had heard her and repeated herself, i told her she was good to go on her bag check and didn’t engage with her because i could tell she was looking for a confrontation. Then before she had left she said “don’t worry DM name is coming for you” and smiled and walked out? I don’t know how to approach this situation. Then she was pointing at the side of our building from across the street and yelling. I took a picture of her because I don’t know what I did to deserve any of that? What should I do ?

i live in a good area not a good store and i’m genuinely scared

my city is generally pretty safe but as a 17 year old girl i keep getting pervs. i’m a 24 hour store near a lower income part of town. i’ve had to go to the police about a man before, i get weird comments a lot. today i got off at 10pm and a man was outside and started shouting to get my attention as i walked to my car. im decently sure it was a man yesterday who was hitting on me quite blatantly. he had on the same shirt as yesterday i think, i didn’t look too long i just started running to my car bc any man yelling at me in a parking lot is a freak. i’m home now, i don’t see my shift lead until thursday, im not 100% sure it was him. hr didn’t believe me last time something happened anyway. i’m scared and im upset and i fucking hate working here i thought i was gonna get kidnapped

Worst Shift Of my life

Hey guys. I work at a 24/7 walgreens store. I work overnight. I just had the worst shift of my life.

  1. A guy I had a problem with years ago walked into my store and he immediately noticed me. Mind you he just got out of jail for being participating in tampering with evidence in a murder case that ended up unaliving a CHILD.

  2. I had to BABYSIT a grown man coming from bars that are close by that was drunk off his ass. He lost his phone and I was going to go on break to call him an uber. I had to keep on encouraging him to sober up and try to find his phone. He literally blew his vape in my face as well. Several customers were worried for my safety regarding him as well.

  3. I went on break. It was about 6 am when I needed to come back in, however, at the entrance of the store there was a man playing with himself inappropriately like full blown stroking himself. I waited until I thought he was done and was leaving but instead he moved himself in front of my car where I was at and starting staring at me while stroking himself. I was not going to risk myself walking in the store after that so I just left.

Pretty sure it is my last day.

Whoever designed the Neosporin packaging should be smacked

title says it all. this has got to be the most annoying packaging. customer grabs one and 10 fall over. i know I can’t be the only one that feels this way lol

McClain' candy

I recently got assigned the candy dept. It is so... off on inventory. How many days before delivery day, do I need to update my inventory count to make a difference on the truck, because I have tons of overstock and very few outs. Is it 2 days or more?

Box cutters

They are reminding us to only use the Walgreens approved box cutters, but for the past six months, we cannot get any in. Make it make sense.

I made a mistake, how bad is this?

This is definitely my fault but there’s an older gentleman who has come in without an id before and I’ve turned him away and he always gets mad. The other day I saw the new shift lead keying in someone’s birthday without an id so when the same gentleman came in, I followed his example and just asked for his birthday and he looked surprised that he was able to buy cigs without his id. I’m new and I now realize that keying in a birthday is only if they don’t want their id scanned. I’m worried now that this gentleman will come in again and try to make me do the same thing. I’ll be firm but I feel really bad for breaking the policy, it’s only my third week.

Holidays

Can someone please explain to me why pharmacy always gets to close early on holidays while the front people(where I work) get the short end of the stick and end up having to stay till normal closing hours? It’s almost as if this company forgets or simply doesn’t care that we have lives and families of our own that we’d like to spend time with for the holidays. And this is by no means me trying to diss the pharmacy workers I understand it isn’t their fault at all but it feels like a slap in the face 😭

Have yall ever worked a whole shift alone?

I’m thinking about closing the store but I know that would get me in trouble. I’m the only one here and customers keep getting mad. Plus half my store is locked up so that’s making matters worse.
