Six new albums confirmed to be in the 2026 Edition of the Book!
The Amazon page for the 2026 edition shows pages for six of the (hopefully) several new albums coming in this year's edition of the book! They are:
Brat - Charli xcx (2024)
Songs of a Lost World - The Cure (2024)
All Born Screaming - St. Vincent (2024)
For That Beautiful Feeling - The Chemical Brothers (2023)
Hackney Diamonds - The Rolling Stones (2023)
Blue Rev - Alvvays (2022)
My take: Overall, I think this is a mixed bag of picks. Three of these are on the current user list (Brat, Lost World, All Born Screaming), so I think they're generally pretty good choices. On the other hand... a 7th Rolling Stones album and a 3rd Chemical Brothers album? Really?
Rather than picking favorites from this decade so far, I wish Dimery would revise his early 2000s and 2010s choices. I feel like we now have a much better perspective of the albums that have held up since that decade, and the ones that have not, and that could make the list significantly better.
