I’d ask in a Dublin subreddit, but I’m looking for a gay perspective from someone who understands Toronto and Dublin.

I’m considering applying for a professorship job in Dublin, but I’m not sure what the city is like in general and for a gay person specifically. A professor's job is pretty rare, and the role is exactly what I do, as if it were written for me, and so I probably would have a good chance. The money is good, like really good, hard to pass up good if they offered it. But I don’t know anything about the city or what it’s like to live there.

I’m not so much worried about safety or immigration, as much as I am about entertainment/fun/gay life.

So, any former Dubliners around? Or has anyone been and can pass on some experience?
