Actbestbike is a joke
I thought I did enough research before I bought the Core 2.0 Electric Commuter Bike, but I should've come to Reddit first.
The videos shown under the bike listing showcased metal fenders, so I was surprised when my bike arrived with bent plastic fenders instead. It also came with a broken bell. I bought my bike with the phone holder bag and the saddle bag for the back. Despite being $90, the saddle bag is low quality, not waterproof, and the velcro was already peeling off upon arrival.
The worst part has been customer service and the return process. I tried returning the phone holder bag and had to repeatedly email them just to get responses. They are extremely slow to respond and every reply felt like they were trying to discourage/stall the return instead of processing it. I told them repeatedly I wanted to return it, but they would not listen to me and kept insisting I keep it and even offered me a free mirror instead. Then they told me people sometimes pay around $40 in shipping/fees to return a $49 accessory and warned me I would barely get a refund back. I will be reselling it on ebay as I expect to get more from there. They really do not seem to want people returning stuff.
This has genuinely been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had, and I would not order from this company again. I wanted a cheap electric bike, but I regret not just spending a bit more money on a better product.
