I’m curious if anyone has experienced something similar.
I applied for an IBM role and completed several interview rounds. After my last interview, the hiring manager told me I had made it to the final phase of the process.
It’s now been a little over a month, and communication has been pretty quiet. I reached out to the recruiter, and they told me they’re still interested in my candidacy, but that the process has slowed due to internal matters and that the delay isn’t related to my qualifications.
Today I noticed the same role has been reposted on IBM Careers. However, when I log into my candidate portal, my application still shows “In Interview Process.”
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is it common for IBM to repost roles while candidates are still actively interviewing?
Could this simply be an automatic repost while the requisition remains open?
Or is it more likely they’re expanding the candidate pool because something changed internally?
Just trying to understand whether this is normal for IBM’s hiring process or if anyone has seen this before. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hi everyone, hoping to get some insight from anyone who’s interviewed with IBM/Hakkoda recently.
I completed several interview rounds and was told by the hiring manager that my next step would be a final executive interview. Later, a new recruiter contacted me and told me my next step was a different interview entirely. When I explained what I’d already completed, they said they’d need to check with the hiring manager because there seemed to be some confusion about my interview status.
Since then, communication has been slow, and another recruiter has since told me they’re reaching out to the hiring manager directly to get clarification.
Has anyone experienced something similar with IBM or Hakkoda? Was it just an internal communication issue, or did it end up meaning something else?
Any insight would be appreciated.
