AITA My husband might be the the asshole to our kid's principal
So my husband may be the asshole and he asked me to post.
Today he was dropping off our daughter at school. This is the first time he has ever dropped her off and he dropped her off at the spot he thought he could use as an alternative for the main drop off location. Well he was flagged down by who he thought was the teacher and they gave him a tounge lashing for it not being the right spot. He explained where he thought to drop off and they pointed him to the right spot. They then walked in front of the car before he could pull away. Now this is where he might have been the asshole, he revved his engine very briefly at her. He dropped our daughter off and went on his way.
Well about 8 hours latter, he received a call from the cops. They went over how he is never to do this again and he explained the poor setup of the drop off. The officer even acknowledged this.
My husband then called the school and let the principal that he didn't appreciate them calling the cops about it. They then said if he would have had a civil conversation they wouldnt have. I know my husband, this man is the most mellow person you could meet, unless our daughter or I are endanger. He explained he didnt think it needed done and they stated that they wanted to make sure her clearly understood. This is how he found out the person he thought was a teacher was the principal.
We checked with our daughter and she did not get in trouble. But found out the principal had asked her if she was ok.
So he asked me what would one of my AITA stories say. I personally think they are both asshole. But he also wants to know should he call her and apologize. I dont think he should and let it go. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
