So I peeked under my monotub and to my surprise it had a full flush of mushrooms under it. I didn’t expect this and was concerned about rotting, so I flipped the substrate and harvested them. I then kept the substrate flipped on that side because I notice substantially more pins on the bottom side than the top (See Pic 4. Is flipping the substrate normal? If not, how do I prevent this?
I had these GT side pins grow pretty quick (quicker than my surface pins set and grew). My question is should I harvest them while the surface pins continue to grow, and if so how do I harvest them as carefully as possible without disturbing the tub? There are quite a few side pins and mushrooms and they are in hard to reach areas. Thanks!! And also how do I prevent this from happening?
My monotub has side pinning and 1 mushroom is about 2 inches big. Is this concerning considering I have no surface pinning yet? Thanks!
