Severe prior infestation
I recently bought a home from a property management llc. Had a complete inspection prior to purchase where no pest issues were found. Also had a couple exterminators out for spiders and neither said there was evidence of anything else.
Started pulling down these “rustic farmhouse” diy decor accent wall planks and they were FILLED with dead German roaches, egg cases, droppings, and oil.
This affects 4 walls in the home and now I’m going to pull up some of the flooring to make sure it’s not under there too.
I just wanted to share because I could not find a similarly severe situation online anywhere. I don’t know if that means this level of infestation is truly incredibly rare or if people just are too embarrassed to post about it, but I felt my experience could help others.
We had Servpro out to demolish the affected walls and clean out the wall voids as well as disinfect the studs. I’ll post more pics of the inside of the walls.
How long would something like this take to develop? How could people even live within a home so badly infested without getting sick all the time??? So many questions
