Anxiety about purchasing a home in new area

We are in the process of looking for a new home, as we are at the point of outgrowing our current home. We absolutely love our neighborhood - there are so many young families and everyone is extremely friendly and social. However, we have one child, with one on the way, and my husband and I both WFH. At this point, there just isn’t enough physical space for all of us, and most homes in our neighborhood aren’t larger, so moving within the specific area is not an option.

We ended up finding our dream how about a 10 minute drive away - way more square footage and also land for a swingset, basketball hoop, etc. However, it’s definitely more “suburb” in the sense that it’s much quieter and I’m not sure how many of the neighbors have young kids vs older ones. It’s on a cu de sac, which is amazing for kids to play outside without cars flying by. But if there aren’t other kids who live here, I guess what is the point? I have an anxious feeling like what if I’m doing a disservice to my kids by not giving them a classic neighborhood experience of kids running around and playing after school.

Has anyone faced a similar situation and what are the pros and cons? I would love any and all advice!
